Davis Mitchell has made a successful life for himself in the field of finance, but the sudden death of his wife throws his life into disarray. While his father-in-law pressures him to keep his composure, Mitchell is losing control of himself and on the verge of self destruction. A complaint to a customer service representative about a vending machine turns into an unlikely relationship. And through this relationship with both a woman and her son, Mitchell begins to rebuild his life and begin to appreciate the fact that he has an opportunity to build a whole new life for himself.
