Plot

In the pulsating heart of the city, the unassailable lawyer Raj reigns supreme, renowned for his legal prowess in never losing a case. His life intertwines with that of Sargam, a rising starlet, during the launch of her album, a grand event orchestrated by the influential Ashwin Mehta, a music magnate. The rhythm of their lives is abruptly disrupted when Ashwin is found brutally murdered, and all accusations point towards Tarang, Sargam's childhood friend. Entrusted with the formidable task of defending Tarang, Raj is plunged into the labyrinthine depths of the human psyche as he discovers his client's haunting secret - a jarring split personality disorder. Tarang, the gentle soul, sporadically transforms into the unpredictable and volatile Ranjeet. A chilling revelation dawns upon Raj - Tarang is not the murderer, but Ranjeet, his sinister alter ego, might be. A deadly dance of deception unfolds as Raj employs this newfound knowledge to prove Tarang's innocence, exploiting the legal loopholes surrounding mental illness. "Deewangee" is a psychological thriller that delves into the shadowy recesses of the mind, featuring stellar performances from Ajay Devgn, Akshay Khanna, and Urmila Matondkar. Devgn's portrayal of the antagonist with a split personality disorder is a chilling exploration of duality, while Khanna's depiction of the criminal lawyer is a testament to his acting prowess. The film, renowned for its thematic resonance with 'Primal Fear,' could have been crisper, but the gripping narrative and commendable performances create a cinematic experience that keeps you on the edge. The plot takes an unexpected twist when Tarang, on the brink of release, shocks Raj with an earth-shattering revelation. The line between the victim and the villain blurs as the chilling truth is unveiled, leaving viewers in a state of suspense. "Deewangee" is an intricate web of deception, mental turmoil, and the quest for justice, leaving audiences to question the very nature of innocence and guilt.
