Plot

In the heart of Los Angeles, Lieutenant Tunner presides over the impenetrable fortress of Bradville State Penitentiary's maximum security wing. Tasked with extracting information from the silent Jory, a low-tier getaway driver incarcerated for a bank robbery, Tunner faces an uphill battle. Despite the pressure, Jory remains a fortress of solitude, refusing to betray his associates. Seizing a fortuitous moment, Jory slips the prison's iron grip, leading Tunner on a gripping chase to the unfamiliar wilderness of Louisiana's Chatsburg Parish. Tunner believes Jory is seeking refuge with his wife amidst the murky bayous, hidden beneath the cloak of the swamp's relentless green abyss. But the bayou is a world unto itself, a labyrinth of secrets guarded fiercely by locals loyal to their own. Tunner not only faces the elusive Jory but must also navigate the treacherous swamps and its protective inhabitants. Yet, an unexpected bond arises between the relentless lieutenant and the fugitive, a mutual respect that transcends their roles. As Tunner wrestles with his loyalties, he is also under scrutiny from the golf-obsessed Warden Keeley of Bradville, the laid-back Sheriff Brown of Chatsburg, and his ambitious subordinate, Sergeant Goodwin. All eagerly awaiting a misstep from Tunner that could tip the scale in their favor. The tension mounts as Tunner and Jory's complex dance unfolds in the eerie shadow of the Louisiana bayou, where every move could spell liberation or doom.
