In the quiet humdrum of his garden, young teacher Ben Morris stumbles upon an antiquated door-knocker, a relic that carries a history as dark as the metal it's forged from. His curiosity guides him to a local museum, where he learns of its connection to the now-destroyed Geap Manor - a Tudor mansion infamous for its original owner, Sir Roger Widdowson. Widdowson, a man accused of dabbling in Satanism for an heir that he never bore, leaves an eerie legacy that haunts the manor.
In 1786, the manor falls into the hands of Joseph Bloxham, a ruthless opportunist who amassed his wealth at the cost of others' lives. Bloxham dismisses the strange noises resonating from the manor's wainscoting as mere rodent activity, oblivious to the grim fact that the wood used is from the gallows of Tyburn. Unwittingly, Bloxham marks himself as a sinner, destined to pay for his transgressions.
Fast forward to 1927, Lady Constance De Momery is enveloped in the grandeur of her grandson Felix's engagement party at the manor. However, the festivities are marred by the appearance of a spectral bride, a scorned woman who committed suicide fifty years prior and cursed the manor's future matrimonies. Only Lady Constance holds the power to lift this curse.
Upon hearing these chilling tales, Ben decides to donate the knocker to the museum. However, when his offer is declined, he fastens it to his own front door. This decision plunges him into a nightmarish reality, as he witnesses Widdowson's unholy rituals and discovers his home's unsettling link to Geap Manor. Desperate, he removes the knocker, only to find the museum shuttered and the curator vanished. In a twist of fate, the knocker reappears, placing Ben and his expectant girlfriend at the mercy of the barren ghost of Widdowson. The antique relic, once lost in a garden, now unlocks a door to a haunted past, spinning a tale of curses, sins, and specters.
