Plot

In the suspenseful action thriller, "Critical Mass" (2001), Mike Jeffers, a resolute security agent, finds himself in a horrific game of cat and mouse within the ominous steel and concrete confines of a decommissioning nuclear power plant. As the plant is on the brink of closure, a slick politician tours the facility, recording his remarks on the shutdown with little knowledge of the impending doom lurking in the shadows. Suddenly, the plant's routine tranquility is shattered as a ruthless terrorist group, led by the cold-blooded Samson, infiltrates the fortress-like gates. Their sinister agenda? The trigger of a nuclear meltdown, a catastrophe poised to radiate destruction on a scale rivalling Chernobyl, threatening to plunge Southern California into radioactive chaos. As the body count rises and local law enforcement fall, the plant workers find themselves victims of this merciless assault. Jeffers, along with Janine, another surviving employee, are the facility's last line of defense. Alone, they are thrust into a desperate struggle against time and terror. Their mission? To confront Samson's terrifying squad and derail the deadly attack, a task that will require every ounce of their courage, resilience, and ingenuity. "Critical Mass" weaves a tale of suspense and high stakes, painting a chilling portrait of terrorism's shadow in our world. Its gripping narrative will have audiences on the edge of their seats, rooting for Jeffers and Janine's survival in the face of unthinkable odds.
