Coogan's Bluff (1968)

In the dusty trails of Arizona, Deputy Sheriff Walt Coogan (Clint Eastwood), a renegade lawman with a knack for bending rules and ruffling feathers, is dispatched on a mission to the concrete jungle of New York City. His task? To retrieve an elusive prisoner, James Ringerman (Don Stroud), who slipped away from Arizona's grip. Coogan's cowboy swagger and unorthodox methods stick out like a cactus in Central Park, earning him mistaken identity as a Texan and the ridicule of the city slickers, particularly N.Y.P.D. Defying orders and McElroy's stern warning that he's out of his jurisdiction, Coogan plunges headfirst into the unfamiliar urban labyrinth of New York City, determined to recapture his escaped prisoner.
