Coach (2010)

Trapped in the twilight of his twenties, Nick is a man-child living comfortably on a trust fund, with no job or responsibilities to his name. To his friends and beloved girlfriend Zoe, he represents an eternal adolescent. However, when Zoe suddenly decamps to Los Angeles for a job opportunity, leaving Nick and New York behind, he finds himself compelled to craft a plan to win her back. His unconventional strategy? Becoming a soccer coach for a junior-high team. Initially, the job is a mere ploy, a means to an end. But as Nick becomes more involved with the team, particularly through Hector, the squad's star player, he discovers himself truly connecting with his new role. As he secretly bypasses Hector's father to keep the boy on the team and gets acquainted with an intriguing ER doctor, Nick realizes his life is becoming more complicated than he anticipated. With the opportunity to rekindle his relationship with Zoe presenting itself, he finds himself torn between his past and his newfound sense of purpose. Can this man-child finally shatter his cocoon of arrested development and embrace the complexities of adulthood?
