Plot

On the infamous date of August 9, 1969, the tranquil Hollywood hills were shattered by an unthinkable crime. The radiant actress Sharon Tate, adored companion of director Roman Polanski, was cruelly murdered at the infamous address of 10050 Cielo Drive, along with her friend Jay Sebring and two other innocent souls. The architects of this horrifying act were none other than the notorious cult, The Manson Family, a ragtag group of impressionable teenagers led by the enigmatic and manipulative Charles "Charlie" Manson, a would-be musician whose dreams of stardom had curdled into a chilling doctrine of violence. The dark allure of Manson's twisted world ensnared three young women, whose lives were irrevocably altered by their lethal devotion to Charlie. Initially sentenced to death in the chilling Manson murder case, their fate was shifted to life imprisonment when the death penalty was abolished. As they languished behind bars, a determined graduate student was assigned to educate them. In the sterile confines of the prison, the words of the studious woman served as a mirror, reflecting the grim reality of their heinous crimes. Charlie Says is a harrowing journey into the heart of darkness, as seen through the eyes of these three young followers. As they navigate the treacherous path from blind adoration and descent into madness, to the harsh awakening and confrontation of their deeds, the audience is invited to bear witness to their chilling transformation. The story not only explores the motives behind the gruesome murder of Sharon Tate but also the power of indoctrination and the redemption that lies beyond remorse.
