Plot

Transported from the bustling world of America to the quaint tranquility of his ancestors' village in India, Tushar Khot, a diligent engineer, embarks on a journey that blurs the boundaries between reality and the supernatural. As he navigates the enigmatic narrative of his familial past, he battles the skepticism towards his father's conviction in the existence of spectral entities. Upon his arrival, Tushar is ushered into the embrace of his ancestral home, a place whispering tales of yore and watched over by the loyal Raghunath. The house, though, is not as placid as it appears, as the stillness of the first night is punctured by a blood-curdling scream. The haunting screams persist, pulling Tushar into a labyrinth of fear and uncertainty. His pursuit of the source leads him to the trembling figure of Janhavi, a local girl who implores him to abandon the house immediately. Simultaneously, Tushar wrestles with the mysterious underperformance of the village's mango pulp factory. Despite a bountiful harvest, the production lags, and the factory's manager, Chowdhury, seems to harbor secrets that contribute to the factory's declining yield. As Tushar delves deeper into these dual mysteries, he starts to feel an ominous presence shadowing him, both in the factory and within his ancestral home. Ensnared in a web of fear and paranoia, Tushar seeks out a psychiatrist, attempting to discern if his dread is a product of his mind or if he is truly ensnared by an malevolent spirit. His terror intensifies when he is kidnapped by a man who supposedly died two months prior. With the lines between the mortal and the spectral blurring, Tushar must confront the lurking evil and unravel the mystery of the factory's dwindling production. In the heart of traditional India, Chakwa weaves a complex tale that explores the intersection of ancestral legacy, corporate intrigue, and shadowy spirits, leaving viewers to question the nature of fear and the power of the unseen.
