Plot

As the rhythmic hum of a train echoes, hurtling towards the vibrant heart of London's King's Cross, we are introduced to Annie. She is on a journey of reunions, about to meet her old university comrade, Hannah, after a gap of six years. Career Girls unfolds this poignant story, a reel of shared history filled with laughter, tears, and growth. Annie, once a jittery and self-conscious soul, and Hannah, her partner in crime, have both transformed into seemingly self-assured women, carving out moderately successful careers. Their past, however, is a vibrant mosaic of memories, largely spent in a dingy student flat during the mid-eighties. The walls of this grotty abode witnessed their transformation from naive students to career-oriented women. As Annie steps off the train and their eyes meet, the past and present collide. Over the course of a bittersweet weekend, they reminisce about their shared history, the whirlwind of relationships they navigated, and the faces that once filled their lives. The emotional baggage they've been carrying since their university days slowly unravels, laying bare the depth of their friendship. Career Girls is a captivating exploration of friendship's enduring strength, the potency of shared pasts, and the often-hidden vulnerabilities beneath the facade of success. Despite their divergent paths, their bond remains unbroken, serving as a testament to their enduring kinship. Watch as Annie and Hannah not only revisit their past, but also weave new threads into their intertwined destinies.
