In the heart of northern England, a maverick sea captain, in possession of a vessel deemed unfit for the sea, assembles an unorthodox crew. Their audacious mission is to retrace the aquatic path of the legendary Captain Scoresby who, in 1791, sailed from the rustic town of Whitby to the frost-bitten Arctic. This unconventional crew, a motley mix of characters each with their unique quirks, includes a pair of quarreling sisters, a secretive Australian hitchhiker running from his romantic entanglements, and the captain's confidante, who operates a local trailer park. With the ship creaking under the strain of ambition and the constant bickering of its crew, they set sail on their perilous journey, evading the relentless pursuit of the authorities.
