Buddy (1997)

"Buddy" unravels a true tale of an affluent socialite and her husband, living in their opulent mansion inhabited by an eclectic family of animals, including chimpanzees, raised as their own progeny. The narrative takes a turn when the socialite stumbles upon a frail infant gorilla, prompting her maternal instincts to nurse it back to health. Several years whisk by, and the gorilla, now fully matured, is a formidable force of nature, often teetering on the edge of control. Despite its potent strength, the gorilla exhibits a deep affection for its mistress, dutifully following her commands. However, the tranquility shatters when the socialite, enticed by an invitation to showcase her unique family at the Chicago World's Fair, experiences an unexpected turn of events. A mischievous chimp accidentally unleashes the gorilla, causing havoc amidst the amusements of the Fair. Subsequently, the once loving and obedient ape becomes increasingly temperamental and unpredictable, culminating in a primal outburst against its mistress.
