Plot

In the cold, unforgiving world of advertising, Henry Creedlow, a young and subdued executive, finds himself trampled underfoot by those he knows and trusts. From his unfaithful wife, engrossed in an illicit affair with his boss and siphoning away his fortunes, to his audacious housemaid, who pilfers from him while hurling insults in her mother tongue, Henry's life is a study in disrespect. Even his poodle, seemingly insignificant, adds to the daily humiliation he endures. One fateful day, as part of his mundane morning routine, he tunes into a radio talk show where a desperate man shares his tale of chronic disrespect before choosing to end his life on-air. This tragic tale resonates deeply within Henry; a chilling echo of his own repressed despair. The very next dawn brings with it a startling transformation. Henry awakens to find his once familiar face replaced by a smooth, featureless white mask. An eerie blank canvas that sets him free from his own stifling identity. This unexpected anonymity empowers Henry, fuelling his long-dormant desire for retaliation. George Romero's compelling film, 'Bruiser', his first release since "The Dark Half", tells the story of this metamorphosis. It's a journey that takes us into the heart of a man who, no longer bound by societal norms or personal inhibitions, is driven to exact revenge on those who have wronged him.
