Bridge of Spies (2015)

It's 1957, and Rudolf Abel has been accused of being a Soviet spy operating in the United States. Lawyer James B. Donovan is assigned the task of defending Rudolf, but the charges are serious. Abel has been accused of stealing a war plane developed by the United States, and the fervor of anti-Communist sentiments create a violent environment with demands to have the spy executed. But when a U.S. pilot ends up in Soviet custody, Abel is suddenly a bargaining chip — and Donovan is brought back on board to help lead the negotiations. It's a tense situation that could turn the Cold War into a hot one.
