Plot

In the gritty outskirts of Rome, best friends Mirko and Manolo eke out a living, caught in the vice of poverty and crushed under the weight of their single-parent households. Their lives are a harsh symphony of school and sporadic odd jobs, punctuated by shared dreams of women, wealth, and a brighter future that seems just out of reach. One fateful night, a hit-and-run tragedy thrusts them into the sinister clutches of the local mafia, setting their lives on an irreversible course. Suddenly, they're swept up in a whirlwind of illicit tasks for their newfound patrons, their hands stained with guilt and fresh blood. Seduced by the allure of easy money and the mirage of a successful career, they remain oblivious to the gravity of their decisions. Life in the shadowy underworld proves grueling, gradually severing their ties with family and old friends. As Mirko and Manolo spiral deeper into this realm of darkness, they realize that their dreams have mutated into a chilling reality. Their journey is a haunting ballad of friendship, choices, and the crushing consequences of ambition, set against the backdrop of Rome's bleak underbelly.
