Plot

In the shadowy underbelly of the Prohibition era, 1933, a small town teems with illicit activity. Jack Malone, a corrupt cop embodied by Michael McFadden (Into the Lion's Den), thrives on the spoils of this clandestine world, profiting from the 'luxury tax' he imposes on every bootlegger and lawbreaker. The unveiling of a new speakeasy appears to be another easy shakedown, but the seedy establishment harbors a chilling secret. Instead of the usual crowd of scofflaws and bootleggers, Jack and his crooked crew unearth a hidden clan of vampires, captained by the ancient and menacing Chesterfield, played by Ice-T (Law & Order SVU). These bloodsuckers are not just mere visitors in the night; they are hell-bent on seizing control of the town. In this world plagued by corruption and secrecy, the vampires lurk ominously in plain sight, running the speakeasy, infiltrating the local brothel, and feasting on unsuspecting victims. When Jack's meddling exposes the vampires' horrifying secret, Chesterfield's clan is forced into action, leaving a trail of bloodshed in their wake. Several are killed, while others are taken prisoner, resigned to a fate more gruesome than death. With nowhere else to turn, Jack forms an unlikely alliance with a humble busboy and a volatile preacher. Together, they must navigate this world of darkness, ready to make a final stand against Chesterfield's vampire coven in a desperate bid to save the innocent in their town. "Bloodrunners" is an action-thriller that masterfully merges history and horror, immersing viewers in a time where ordinary citizens break the law and operate in shadows, making it the perfect hunting ground for creatures of the night.
