Black Widow (1954)

A seasoned Broadway producer, ensnared by the allure of an aspiring young writer, decides to mentor her in her quest for stardom. However, the inception of her dreams morphs into a chilling nightmare when she is discovered lifeless in his apartment. Initially deemed a suicide, the plot takes a sinister turn when it's revealed that her death was no accident. The finger of blame points ominously at the producer, thereby forcing him to embark on a mission to prove his innocence. As he delves deeper into the mystery, he stumbles upon the startling truth - the seemingly naive ingenue was shrouded in a web of deception and secrets. Balancing on the knife-edge of suspicion and guilt, he must now unravel the deceit to clear his name, all the while questioning the innocence he once saw in the young woman.
