Plot

In the heart of a sprawling, jubilant joint family, brothers Vaidyalingam Moopanar and Sundaralingam Moopanar coexist in harmony. As the elder, Vaidyalingam, bereft of children, finds solace in the company of his brother's two sons - one grappling with a paralyzed left hand since childhood, and the younger, a city-based college student named Mani. However, the household's tranquility is routinely disrupted by Vaidyalingam's embittered wife Akilandam, whose constant resentment towards Sundaralingam's family is a thorn in the otherwise loving family fabric. Despite the discord, Vaidyalingam retains his affection for his brother's family, disapproving of his wife's acrimonious behavior. A gust of chaos blows into their lives with the arrival of Singaram and his sister Amudha, distant relatives of the cantankerous Akilandam. Singaram's intrusion into the household sparks a maelstrom of confusion, resulting in a distressing family schism. Amidst the turmoil, a union blossoms as Sundaralingam's younger son Mani ties the knot with the newcomer, Amudha. However, the nefarious Singaram, with his sinister intentions, beguiles Akilandam and Mani into parting with their money, plunging them into a whirlpool of trouble. As the family grapples with the chaos ignited by Singaram's malevolent machinations, questions abound. Will the family fall prey to Singaram's wicked schemes? Can they weather the storm and reunite, restoring their once joyful household? The movie Bhaaga Pirivinai unravels this captivating tale of familial bonds, deception, and resilience.
