The Newtons need one thing to make their family complete, a dog. Finally, the family completes itself with a cute, little, St. Bernard puppy. Soon, the adorable puppy grows into a large, slobbery dog, Beethoven. The Newtons and Beethoven live together happily and deal with the hilarities of having a huge dog. However, Beethoven has garnered the attention of someone else in the neighborhood, a nefarious madman who needs canines for his experiments.
