Beauty and the Bandit (1946)

In the rugged expanse of Old California, a clandestine journey unfolds as a charming Frenchman, cloaked in mystery, transports a treasure chest brimming with silver. His destination: the picturesque town of San Marino, where a convoluted business deal awaits completion. However, the stagecoach's journey is abruptly halted by a band of elusive outlaws led by the enigmatic Cisco (Gilbert Roland). Cisco, a self-proclaimed guardian of the downtrodden, asserts that the silver is the very wealth extorted from the impoverished Californians over years of hardship. Swiftly, the bandits seize the silver and vanish into the wilderness, leaving Cisco behind with the seemingly unsuspecting Frenchman.
