Battleship (2012)

A fleet of ships from around the world has to battle alien invaders. They were on a war games exercise, and it is not apparently clear that this is a real-world event until they start getting fired upon by the aliens. Only the USS John Paul Jones, a ship with guided missiles, has the capacity to take down the five alien ships that have manged to penetrate the Earth's defenses. The ship's young and relatively inexperienced commanding officer has humanity's future in his hands.
