Plot

Under the shadowy charm of Vienna, a tale of passion and desperation unfolds. A young American woman is rushed to a hospital, her life hanging by a thread following an apparent suicide attempt through a pill overdose. The chilling echo of the ambulance sirens fades, replaced by the stern gaze of a local police detective who suspects more than meets the eye. Entering the narrative is her lover, an American psychology professor with a knack for mind games, ensnared in the detective's relentless pursuit of truth. As the doctors wage a grim battle against death, the professor finds himself in a different war, a psychological joust with the detective that plunges the viewers into a labyrinth of the past. The narrative glides through a series of flashbacks, painting a gritty picture of a stormy, erotically-charged affair that was as toxic as it was intoxicating. The woman, estranged from her Czech husband, succumbs to a whirlwind of heavy drinking and reckless affairs, caught in a destructive dance with her professor lover. "Bad Timing" is a gripping exploration of the human psyche, a darkly sensual tale that unravels the complex layers of an illicit relationship. As the detective probes deeper, the sordid secrets of the affair surface, culminating in a crescendo of revelations that promise to keep viewers on the edge of their seats, questioning where the line between love and obsession blurs.
