Plot
Julius Caesar wants nothing more than to wipe the village of Asterix and Obelix from the face of the Earth, but it's something he hasn't managed yet. But his latest plan is more insidious than a simple attack. By building an ostentatious estate near the village, he hopes to start a Roman colony next door to the Gauls. Caesar intends to beat them at their own game by absorbing them into the culture of the Romans. But the Gauls are notoriously independent, and Obelix and Asterix in particular have no interest in what this new Roman colony has to offer them.
