Plot

In the heart of New Orleans, a city known for its vibrant culture and resilient spirit, a seismic catastrophe unfolds. The ground trembles and shakes, a terrifying symphony of earthquakes triggered by years of relentless fracking by avaricious oil companies. But the tremors do more than just shatter the city's tranquility. They awaken an ancient horror lurking beneath the city's depth - an army of monstrous, albino spiders, as pale as death and as cruel as the abyss from which they emerge. The spiders, mutated into fire-breathing nightmares by the fracking, rise from the earth and descend upon the city. Their insatiable hunger leads them to feast on human eyeballs, turning the city into a grotesque buffet. They multiply, guided by the horrifying queen of their underground hive, their numbers growing with each passing moment. Amidst this chaos, an unlikely hero rises. Paul, a 30-year-old tour bus driver and self-professed slacker, finds himself thrust into the role of savior. He must guide a terrified group of tourists through the city's labyrinthine streets and into the relative safety of Louisiana's labyrinthine swamps. Yet, safety proves elusive as they learn that these demonic arachnids can sprint across water, their terror reaching new bounds. As New Orleans transforms into a spider-infested nightmare, Paul grapples with his newfound responsibility. Can this underachiever rise to the occasion and lead his group to safety? Or will the city and its visitors fall prey to the arachnid army unleashed by the Arachnoquake? The city’s survival hangs in the balance, teetering on the edge of the spider's web.
