Antidote (2018)

In the pulsating heart of the Mexican jungle, a deadly disease that only targets children and expectant mothers is wreaking havoc in a secluded village. ANNA (Natali Yura), a dedicated Doctors Without Borders operative, and her fiancé MANUEL (Empire's Rafael De La Fuente) are on a mission to alleviate this inexplicable suffering. The village is shrouded in whispers of the White Witch, a local legend said to be the harbinger of such dark times. Skeptical of the superstition, Anna, however, can't ignore the allure this myth holds for VICTOR (Randy Couture), a brash treasure hunter with an unyielding spirit, and his partner JORGE (Chuck Zito). Determined to unravel the mystery, Anna seeks assistance from her scientist confidant JAMES (Jessica Jones' Wil Traval). Their pursuit of the truth thrusts them deeper into the enigma, endangering Anna's life in the process.
