Plot
Set in the pre-war south, the movie tells several stories. What first appears to be a simple story with little to go about life in a plantation, over time develops into something stronger and a bit more complicated. The movie plays around with many ideas including that of time and space. It's a historical drama on one level but it is also a lot more that is apparent as you continue to follow the interplay of characters and plot. This is one that deserves your full attention. It's a rewarding movie that will pay off if you stick with it.
