Michael is a best-selling author who cashes in on his literary success as a conference speaker. His expertise is developing customer relations. Ironically, Michael is also a man whose social life has collapsed because of his lost ability to relate to other people. Although he's married with a small child, Michael is desperate to recapture a deeper meaning in life. He thinks he can do that on a speaking trip to Cincinnati where he plans to hook up with an old flame. He ends up meeting the eccentric scar-faced Lisa instead, and she is about to rock his world.
