Plot

Caught in the unforgiving jaws of the judicial system, young, slight, and privileged Ron finds himself caged within a brutal prison on marijuana charges. Igniting unexpected paternal instincts in Earl Copan, an 18-year veteran of this merciless concrete jungle, Ron becomes the unlikely protégé in Earl's world. The film embarks on a raw exploration of their unique bond, Ron's precarious role in Earl's gang, and his struggle against the predatory inmates lurking in the shadows, their minds twisted by aggression, intent on assault and violation. The prison's grim reality is further stained by casual racism, its malignant strain infecting both criminals and wardens alike. Tensions mount to a fever pitch when a strike is ignited by the Black inmates, whilst the specter of hard drugs haunts every corner, offering an escape as deadly as the prison itself. Outside the prison walls, Ron's attorney tirelessly battles the bureaucracy, chasing the elusive promise of his client's freedom. Simultaneously, Earl stands on a precipice, with parole within his grasp, even as the grim reaper seems to be his next-door neighbor. The pivotal question remains: will the harsh reality of the prison transform Ron into the very beast it houses? Will he become an 'Animal' in this cruel 'Factory'?
