Plot

In the magnetic TV series 'Angry Boys', the ingenious Chris Lilley gifts us with a vibrant tapestry woven with six distinct characters, each carrying their own unique stories, struggles and triumphs. At the heart of this narrative is the rural family farm in Dunt, home to identical twins Daniel and Nathan Sims, familiar faces from the hit show 'We Can Be Heroes'. Their world is further enlivened as four new characters are introduced into the mix, each one more intriguing than the last. First, we meet Blake Oakfield, a former surfing world champion. Now a family man, his past glories are tinged with the adrenaline-fueled exploits of his surfie gang, the Mucca Mad Boys. This stark contrast illuminates the duality of his life, between his turbulent youth and his present domesticity. On the other side of the globe, we're introduced to S.mouse, a U.S rapper who has tasted the sweetness of success, producing the biggest selling hip-hop single of all time. His journey explores the complexities of fame and the relentless pursuit of creative expression. Next is the shrewd businesswoman, Jen Okazaki. Hailing from Japan, she masterfully manages her son's skyrocketing skateboarding career while juggling her own ambitions. Her character adds a dash of international flavor, showcasing a cultural diversity that enriches the show's narrative. Lastly, we're introduced to Ruth Sims, lovingly known as Gran. As an officer at the Juvenile Justice Centre for Boys, she navigates the delicate balance of being stern yet compassionate, caring for the 'worst boys in the state'. Her character offers a touching exploration of humanity within a harsh environment. 'Angry Boys' is a captivating mosaic of interconnected lives, each character masterfully crafted and brilliantly portrayed, offering an immersive journey into their diverse worlds. This is a series that truly celebrates the power of storytelling in all its raw, authentic, and often humorous glory.
