In the vibrant heart of Hollywood, two navy sailors, Joe and Clarence, find themselves with a few days of well-earned leave. Joe, with a heart set on mischief and romance, yearns to rendezvous with his unseen sweetheart, Lola. Clarence, however, harbors a simple wish - to find a girl who'd steal his heart. Their paths cross with a runaway little boy with dreams of naval adventure dancing in his eyes. Guided by their sailorly instinct, they return the boy to his home where they encounter Susan, his enchanting aunt with starry dreams of a singing career. Clarence, smitten by her charm and aspiration, begs Joe to play cupid.
