In the heart of Chennai, a young, bright-eyed engineering graduate, Karthik (Madhavan), crosses paths with Shakti (Shalini) at a festive wedding. Shakti, a medical student, initially dismisses the very concept of love as frivolous, creating an irresistible challenge for the smitten Karthik. Despite her initial resistance, Karthik's relentless charm slowly draws her in, igniting a spark that neither can deny.
