Plot

In the harsh, racially-charged underbelly of Harlem, a crime of startling savagery unfolds, leaving the NYPD scrambling to decipher the blood-soaked aftermath of an audacious heist. Three audacious black men - Jimmy Harris, Joe Logart, and their getaway driver, Henry Jackson - have brazenly stolen $300,000 from the Italian mafia's Harlem operation, leaving a ghastly body count in their wake, including two white mobsters and a black and a white police officer. The heist, orchestrated under the guise of law enforcement, spirals into a brutal massacre that reverberates through the city's seedy underworld. The NYPD, convinced of the mafia's involvement, is thrust into a perilous investigation, while the mafia, hell-bent on retrieving their stolen money, vows gruesome retribution on their unsuspecting thieves. At the crux of these escalating conflicts, racial tensions flare, exacerbating the already volatile environment of Harlem. Caught in the throes of this chaos is newly appointed Lt. William Pope, a black man, whose leadership of the investigation stirs the ire of Italian-American Capt. Frank Morelli, an anti-black bigot and veteran of the force. As these two grapple with their own prejudices amidst the tumultuous investigation, the mafia sends Nick D'Salvio to recover their lost fortune. D'Salvio, a man promoted by marriage rather than merit, is scorned by Doc Johnson, the black kingpin of Harlem's organized crime, setting the stage for a brutal war of egos. In this maelstrom of violence, prejudice, and power plays, the NYPD, the mafia, and the black gangsters pursue the elusive killers. As the city twitches on the brink of a full-blown gang war, will Jimmy Harris and his gang elude their relentless pursuers, or will their audacious heist prove to be their downfall? In 'Across 110th Street,' there are no easy answers, only ruthless questions, asked in the unforgiving language of bullets and blood.
