In the eerie shadows of familial secrets, Christina Reiner, a London-based student, abandons the familiarity of her boarding school to venture into the heart of Montserrat, beckoned by the cryptic last testament of her recently deceased and estranged father, Ernesto. Amid the waiting for the attorney to read Ernesto's will, Christina's world begins to spiral, entangling nightmares and daydreams with the harsh reality of her surroundings. In a bid to combat her loneliness and to carry on the legacy of her father, Christina invites the peculiar castle dwellers to stay. Yet, the spirit of her deceased father, Ernesto, emerges from the spectral dimensions, echoing Herminia's dire warning about the evil that plagues the castle. As the echoes of his cautionary words fade into the castle's stone walls, it becomes ominously clear that Christina has ventured too far into the heart of darkness to retreat.
