Plot

In the scenic outskirts of Sassari, the Babbudoiu Estate, a wine farm established in 1948, is the heart and soul of brothers Michele and Roberto Mannu and their brother-in-law, Stefano Fais. This trio of free-spirited vintners is blissfully oblivious to the encroaching economic crisis, squandering money on lavish conventions to toast their wines' success. However, their carefree world is shattered when they are confronted with a staggering debt of 500,000 euros owed to the bank. The EU grant they'd banked on to expand their family winery has fallen through, leaving them in a precarious position. With just fifteen days to save their beloved estate, they are tossed into a whirlwind of desperation. As the clock ticks, they embark on a wild rollercoaster of haphazard hijinks, filled with comic misadventures, absurd episodes, and escalating desperation. Their mission: to keep their financial crisis a secret from their wives and girlfriends while trying to beg, borrow, steal, and extort the needed funds. As they stumble from one calamity to another, their hopes of saving their legacy seem to fade. But just when all appears lost, they stumble upon the most unexpected solution - a glass of Bianco di Babbudoiu, their own creation, that had been under their noses all along. "A Fistful of Grapes" is a tale of brotherhood, desperation, and the surprising solutions life can offer - all served with a generous pour of humor and a hint of the absurd.
