A Dog's Purpose (2017)

Beginning in the 1950s, a dog experiences multiple lives. He wonders about the purpose of life before being caught by animal control and put down. The dog then lives each life under different circumstances and often with a new name and breed. During this time, he and she discovers more and more about life. The dog learns to love some of his owners and be fearful of others. Perhaps no dog ever experienced a more all-encompassing life. It's unknown why this dog keeps coming back to life as a new dog. Nonetheless, he maintains his memories each time and seeks to find the meaning of his life.
