27 Down (1974)

In the tranquil confines of a small town, father and son, Anna (Om Shivpuri) and Sanjay (M.K. Raina) share a profound connection with the Railways. Anna, a train-driver, suffers a life-altering accident that leaves him paralyzed in his right leg, a tragedy that takes him off the tracks but not away from his beloved profession. He secures a position for his son, Sanjay, as a Ticket Checker, a role Sanjay grows to embody wholeheartedly. His life becomes a pulsating rhythm of train journeys, the train's whistle becoming his homing signal. During one of his ceaseless voyages, he crosses paths with Shalini (Raakhee), a captivating passenger whose charm enchants him.
