Plot

In the aftermath of Season 6 of '24,' Jack Bauer, a former government agent, finds solace from his turbulent past and the looming U.S. investigation into his questionable methods in Sangala, a fictional African nation. Here, he seeks to outrun his past and evade the relentless pursuit of his homeland. Immersed in the altruistic work at a mission school for orphans, run by his old friend Carl Benton, Bauer's retirement is anything but tranquil. The nation groans under the iron fist of Juma, a rogue warlord general with sinister plans to usurp the government. His loyal henchman, Colonel Dubaku, kidnaps orphan boys, forcing them into Juma's burgeoning army. As the inevitable coup d'état approaches, Bauer and Benton are thrust into a desperate race against time, striving to safeguard the innocent lives at stake and shepherd them to safety. Meanwhile, thousands of miles away in Washington D.C., the baton of the presidency is passed from the outgoing President Noah Daniels to the first female President, Allison Taylor. As news of the imminent coup reaches the U.S., Daniels advocates for evacuating Sangala, while President Taylor contemplates a different course of action. Unbeknownst to them, Taylor's son Roger and his fiancée Samantha stumble upon suspicious financial transactions at a local brokerage firm. Oblivious to the fact that their discoveries are linked to the corrupt tycoon, Jonas Hodges, they remain unaware of the imminent danger. Hodges, in a venomous alliance with General Juma, plots the overthrow of the government, his greed fueling his treachery. His malicious plans, shrouded in secrecy, threaten to unleash chaos, and it's up to Bauer and his allies to prevent this catastrophe.
